In EBuildHost cPanel, you can restore your file backup anywhere, anytime. In this tutorial, we will cover how to use cPanel’s File and Directory Restoration feature to restore your file backups. This powerful feature can help you swiftly recover a previous version of your files if you’ve accidentally deleted or modified them.
Important Note: Backup Retention Period and Fees
Please be aware that our backups are only retained for 30 days.
If you need to restore a backup that is older than 30 days, please contact our service support, and we will charge a service fee of HK$500.
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
First, you’ll need to log into your cPanel account. You can find the cPanel URL in our welcome letter.
Enter your cPanel username and password, then click “Log in”.
Or you can log in to cPanel by using our Client Area one-click login feature.
Services -> My Services -> Select your hosting service -> In Actions you can find “Login to cPanel”
Step 2: Locate the File and Directory Restoration Feature
On your cPanel home page, find the “Files” section. In this section, you should see the “File and Directory Restoration” option. Click on it.
Step 3: Select the Backup File to Restore
On the “File and Directory Restoration” page, you will see a dropdown menu listing all available backup files. Select the file you wish to restore, then click “Restore”.
