Step 1: Log in to cPanel
First, you’ll need to log into your cPanel account. You can find the cPanel URL in our welcome letter.
Enter your cPanel username and password, then click “Log in”.
Or you can log in to cPanel by using our Client Area one-click login feature.
Services -> My Services -> Select your hosting service -> In Actions you can find “Login to cPanel”
Step 2: Locate the MySQL Databases or Database Wizard
On your cPanel home page, find the “Databases” section. In this section, you should see the “MySQL Databases” and “MySQL Database Wizard” options.
If you are creating a database for the first time, we recommend using the “MySQL Database Wizard” because this tool will guide you through all the steps, including creating a database, creating a user, and assigning permissions.
Step 3: Use the MySQL Database Wizard to Create a Database and User
Click on the “MySQL Database Wizard”, then follow the wizard’s instructions.
- Enter the name of the database in the “New Database” field, then click “Next Step”.
- On the “Add User” page, enter a username and password, then click “Create User”.
- On the “Manage User Privileges” page, select the privileges you wish to grant to the user, then click “Next Step”.
Step 4: Confirm the Database and User Have Been Created Successfully
On the final page, you should see a message saying that the database and user have been created successfully. Make a note of these details as you may need them when setting up your website or application.
